Complete interior design, specification and furnishing package for a multi-unit serviced apartment development on Unity Street in Bristol city centre. The project for Portland Apartments required turnkey delivery of market-ready accommodation, including space planning for studio and one-bedroom units, furniture procurement, soft furnishings selection, lighting design and full installation coordination across the building.
Project Challenge
Working within an exceptionally compressed timeline and strict budget parameters, we needed to deliver move-in ready apartments that would appeal to Bristol's competitive short-term accommodation market. The brief required balancing cost efficiency with the boutique aesthetic necessary to command premium rates in the serviced apartment sector.
Design Concept
Create an affordable luxury experience that positions the Unity Street apartments as boutique accommodation despite budget constraints. The interior design strategy focused on strategic investment in key visual touchpoints - statement lighting, quality soft furnishings and considered colour palettes - to deliver perceived value and exclusivity while maintaining commercial viability for the operator.
The Solution
Our interior design and the final look of the apartments aesthetically enhanced the stunning architecture of the building and also served to reinforce a strong and consistent visual identity across the serviced development.
