Concept

Convey a new eatery brand and ethos

What we did..

For both occupants of The Exchange in Bridgwater and the centre's neighbours alike there was a need for a hub. Somewhere to meet and take time out in the day or to relax and unwind in the evening. Somewhere to enjoy good food and company.

Enter Powwow. Its flagship coffee shop and restaurant transforms the centre's communal lounge space and offer.

The restaurant interior design builds on the aesthetic of the Powwow brand and uses solid natural materials to reinforce the Powwow ethos. A freestanding structural wall with sliding door from European FSC birch plywood defines the space, but prevents the interior feeling enclosed. It provides a warm facade and draws the eye through in to the restaurant.

All the elements, from the diamond tile clad service counter, suspended lighting raft and engineered oak panelled back wall, through to the milk station, table tops and menu boards, are simple and unpretentious in design and manufactured using solid natural materials to ensure longevity and sustainability.

Brass pendant lights echo the brand, whilst LED bulbs emit a warm glow downwards for the comfort of diners.
