Architectural Signage

Sculpture Trail, Beechenhurst Lodge, Forest of Dean

Scope

Exterior sign design, production and installation.

Elements

Graphic information display to mark the start of the Sculpture Trail.

Concept

Architecturally dynamic and inviting.

What we did..

Dynamic in shape and angled to lead the eye, the display Designrock created acts as a beacon, clearly visible from all directions. Clearly communicating graphic information about the trail, the display remains sympathetic to the existing visual language of the Sculpture trail.

Using minimal materials and consisting of a large tensile graphic 'sail' stretched between a sturdy FSC Douglas Fir frame, the display provides a cost-effective, durable and vandal resistant solution.

Impact..

The Scultpure Trail Trust and Forestry Commission, who approached Designrock to install the graphic display to coincide with the launch of David Cotterrell's 'Hill33', a pyramid sculpture constructed using Hesco Concertainer┬« units, thanked Designrock: "The sign is an ideal meeting point for visitors to the Sculpture Trail".
