Scope: Create an exhibition stand display to showcase both the Oakley and ESS brands, products and technology.

Elements: Sustainable materials; designed for longevity and flexibility; optical laser demonstration.

Concept: One architectural solution, two brands.

What we did... Designrock exhibition designers devised an affordable grid panelled modular structure that would ensure maximum durability and flexibility for future events.

In generating a show specific marketing theme “Superior Optical Performance”, the exhibition design team gave prominence to the market-leading technology key to both Oakley and ESS eyewear.

The dual brand exhibition stand structure, featuring back-lit logos, bespoke tube-light product displays and frameless video presentations, was unified through a central live optical laser demonstration.

Impact... Both brand teams agreed that the space worked well to differentiate their offer.

Concept: Clean, simple and dynamic

What we did…Designrock created an avant-garde and progressive stand design, with a simple open plan welcoming aesthetic. A stunning super wide screen seamless backdrop, creates maximum desired impact.

This sustainable exhibition stand solution has been designed to be reused rather than destroyed at the end of the event, conceived with longevity in mind to better stand the rigours of installation, dismantle and ultimately the test of time.

Modular Exhibition Displays

Scope: Create a ‘plug & play’ exhibition system for multiple use.

Elements: Sustainable and natural materials; modular construction offering flexibility; simulated product displays.

Concept: Minimum architecture for maximum impact.

What we did... From a simple series of bespoke interlocking components emerged a large and imposing canvas on which to display HESCO Environmental’s breadth of activity and experience.

This modular exhibition display integrated LED lighting and video imagery to further highlight their exceptional contribution to both coastal restoration and flood defense.

Impact... The HESCO Environmental team proclaimed the trade show stand a great success. The display attracted considerable interest and led to them being approached to sponsor and headline at another much larger environmental event.

Scope:  Attract new students & showcase cutting edge research.

Elements:  Multi-functional cellular blocks made from sustainable materials.

Concept:  Abstract representation with a simple, fun aesthetic.

What we did... The form of the structure is an abstract representation of the molecular scientific research carried out by the School of Chemistry at Bristol University.

The custom modular exhibition stand structure was designed to be reconfigured to meet any given display need, as well as to facilitate construction, without the need for complex tools or methods.

Designed to be manufactured using a super lightweight environmentally friendly core or cellular material, to allow for easy transportation and logistics.

Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds

Scope: Design a dual-purpose museum space to display Hesco Bastion’s Concertainer® product.

Elements: Presentation theatre; museum exhibition display.

Concept: Create an 'in-the-field' experience.

What we did…The design of both the interior and exterior of this mezzanine space was conceived to represent an observation post. This permanent museum display of how Hesco Bastion’s Concertainer® units are used in the construction and fortification of protective structures, doubles as a presentation theatre.

Impact…The observation post immerses visitors into themed surroundings and provides an opportunity to see and experience a soldier’s environment.

Scope: Communicate the benefits of the ESS in-theatre eyewear protection.

Elements: Large format graphics; integrated product displays.

Concept: Dynamic and cost-effective.

What we did...With some clever thinking our exhibition design team created an engaging custom-built small exhibition stand, bought to life using dramatic full-height graphics. A semi-private meeting area, product displays, kitchen and storage facilities were all incorporated within a 5x3M space.

Impact...Cutting through the visual noise in this busy trade show environment served to effectively communicate the ESS marketing message.

Bespoke Exhibition Design

Scope: Turn-key exhibition programme.

Elements: Themed reusable, low-carbon exhibition display.

Concept: Simulate the use of HESCO Bastion's Concertainer® product ‘in situ’.

What we did…For Hesco’s ‘in the field’ exhibition programme, bespoke exhibition design company, Designrock, created a stand simulating the use of Hesco Bastion's Concertainer® product in protective fortified compounds. Incorporating a makeshift bar the display has proved a popular informal oasis across a series of trade shows.

The unrefined aesthetic and staged setting engages senses and emotions and culminates in a vibrant environment that draws visitors to the stand, immersing many in their own reality.

Modular Sustainable Exhibition Stand

Systematic

Scope: Showcase Systematic’s software

Elements: Modular, sustainable construction with integrated AV

Concept: Allude to the protective environment in which the Systematic software is used

What we did... The aim was to provide a unique and striking exhibition stand design that allowed the focus to fall primarily on the AV presentations, key to demonstrating Systematic’s software capability.

The modular exhibition display stand architecture was based on FSC birch ply construction, enabling reconfiguration at varying heights and depths, and facilitating flat pack shipping and also assembly.

A series of column structures was to create a ‘protective’ interior space, alluding to the protective environment in which the Systematic software is used; linking product, activity and brand identity with the stand architecture.

Exterior Graphic Displays

Sculpture Trail, Beechenhurst Lodge, Forest of Dean

Scope: Design, production & installation.

Elements: Graphic information display to mark the start of the Sculpture Trail.

Concept: Architecturally dynamic & inviting.

What we did... Dynamic in shape and angled to lead the eye, the display Designrock created acts as a beacon, clearly visible from all directions. Clearly communicating graphic information about the trail, the display remains sympathetic to the existing visual language of the Sculpture trail.

Using minimal materials and consisting of a large tensile graphic 'sail' stretched between a sturdy FSC Douglas Fir frame, the display provides a cost-effective, durable and vandal resistant solution.

Impact...The Scultpure Trail Trust and Forestry Commission, who approached Designrock to install the graphic display to coincide with the launch of David Cotterrell's 'Hill33', a pyramid sculpture constructed using Hesco Concertainer® units, thanked Designrock: "The sign is an ideal meeting point for visitors to the Sculpture Trail".

Exhibition Stand Design

Eden, Paris

Scope: Unique exhibition stand design to showcase a new brand identity & revolutionary product.

Elements: Independent modular elements; reusable.

Concept: Strong, high tech and dynamic in design.

What we did...The custom exhibition stand architecture was conceived to echo the shapes and forms created by a fingerprint.

Designrock produced a design that would showcase the Biovein scanner products, promote their company image in 3D and attract and inform visitors to the show. The aim was to establish the Eden brand as a serious operator, with a great standing in the biometrics market.

Scope: Design, produce and install a low-cost free-build stand.

Elements: Bespoke architecture; product displays.

Concept: Evoke a sense of protection and clearly differentiate the product: protective eyewear.

What we did… An abstract structure for their compact 3x3M space ensured maximum impact.The colour scheme, graphics and overall aesthetic treatments integrated into this custom designed trade show stand served to reinforce the ESS corporate and brand identity.

With a rigorous deadline in not just the design of this exhibition stand but also with its production, flexibility was essential.
